MANLY TO NAME BROOKIE AFTER TOOHEYS?

Manly could face a Council backlash over the naming rights to Brookvale should they award club sponsors Tooheys the privilege, but are at long odds to take that risk.

Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has priced a market on who will seal the deal for the Oval with Tooheys an outsider at $21.

Coco Joy, the coconut drinks company, is the $3.00 favourite ahead of fizzy drinks giant Coca Cola on $4.00.

More elaborate stadium suggestions would be naming it after locals Mike Baird at $101 and the former PM Tony Abbott at $251.

“Coco Joy appears the obvious choice as it’d be nuts for Manly to go against the Council after the drawn-out dilemma of reaching agreement to use the stadium this season,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
