Roma Britnell’s price to win the South West Coast by-election has been slashed, with the Liberal candidate now the $1.30 clear favourite with sportsbet.com.au.
All the money has been on Britnell to win, with little interest in The Nationals Michael Neoh, who has drifted from $2.00 out to $2.80, and the Greens Thomas Campbell, out from $16 to $18.
In Polwarth, Richard Riordan continues to attract punters’ attention, shortening further into $1.30, while The Nationals David O’Brien has slid from $2.15 out to $2.85, with the Greens Joes Miles out from $16 to $28.
“Punters are telling us it is a one horse race in both Polwarth and South West Coast with all the money heading for Liberal candidates Richard Riordan and Roma Britnell,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Bulmer.
“With less than two weeks to polling day it looks like the race has been run and won.”
