The red clay of Roland Garros can bring out the worst in players and Aussie Nick Kyrgios is odds-on to throw some sort of tantrum…or his racquet.
Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au has priced Kyrgios at $1.30 to beat fellow Aussie Bernard Tomic ($3.50) to a racquet toss in the tennis Grand Slam.
Kyrgios is also $1.20 to be the first of the Aussie bad boys to receive a court violation, with Tomic $4.50.
The draw for the Open is yet to be announced, but Tomic and Kyrgios are $34 to face each other and $1001 to clash in the final.
Tomic is the $4.00 outsider to progress further than Kyrgios ($1.25), who is also $1001 to swallow his neck bling on court.
“Nick and Bernard are long odds to meet in the final, but what a spectacle it would be. The ball boys and girls would have to wear safety gear because racquets would probably be flying, along with the expletives,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
