Bachelor 2015: Betting re-opens after Snezana suspends market
The rumour mill was in overdrive last night, after online bookmaker WilliamHill.com.au was forced to suspend betting on Network Ten’s hit reality show The Bachelor.
The bookmaker put a halt to the market just minutes before the season premiere following a plunge on betting for 34-year-old Perth mother, Snezana.
“Interest in the market was already at an all-time high yesterday following last season’s success, but a number of last minute large bets placed on Snezana certainly raised our eyebrows,” William Hill’s Tim Ashworth said.
“We’ve re-opened the market this morning but slashed Snezana’s odds from $11 into $5.50 as a result.”
“Punters have also loaded up on pre-premiere favourite Emily, who currently accounts for a whopping 30% of the book. She stunned Sam upon arrival and is outright second in-line at $6.50,” Ashworth added.
Recipient of last night’s first red rose, Sarah, remains a $9.00 shot while Heather, who took home the white rose, is steady at the $10 mark.
