Sportsbet.com.au punters continue to back the Western Bulldogs to win Saturday’s AFL Grand Final at a rate of two bets for every one on Sydney.
· Western Bulldogs cut from $2.40 into $2.35 to win Saturday’s AFL Grand Final.
· Sydney drifts from $1.58 to $1.62 but big money still heading Swans’ way.
The online bookmaker has cut the Bulldogs odds from $2.40 into $2.35, with Sydney easing from $1.58 to $1.62.
While the majority of punters are backing the Bulldogs, the big money continues to come in for Sydney with both sides neck and neck in total money staked to win Saturday’s Grand Final.
The biggest bet on the Swans, since the weekend’s preliminary finals, has been $6,500 at odds of $1.58, while the biggest bet on the Bulldogs has been $1,250 at odds of $2.40.
In Norm Smith betting, Marcus Bontempelli remains the best backed as the $7.00 favourite, while Brownlow Medal runner-up Luke Parker is attracting plenty of support at $9.00.
Sportsbet has now taken the same number of bets on Parker as fellow $9.00 Norm Smith chance Lance Franklin, with $8.00 chances Josh Kennedy and Dan Hannebery also well backed.
Almost 100 punters are predicting Lin Jong will return to the Dogs line-up and star, backing him at odds of $67 to win the Norm Smith.
“Momentum is continuing to build behind the Bulldogs, with strong punter support for Luke Beveridge’s team continuing into Tuesday. While the bigger bets are heading Sydney’s way, almost 70% of punters are backing the Doggies to make its dream a reality,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Bulmer.
