Labor have been heavily backed in both Lingiari and Solomon. 92% of wagers are backing Warren Snowden to win Lingiari.
A similar story is unfolding in Solomon with 83% of money placed on Luke Gosling.
The Top End is set to be more red than usual on Saturday according to online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au with both federal seats heavily backed to be won by Labor.
In Solomon, Luke Gosling looks set to avenge his narrow defeat to Natasha Griggs in 2013, attracting 83% of punters’ wagers and priced a short $1.27 favourite.
Lingiari is also looking likely to be a safe Labor hold, Warren Snowden leading the charge to be re-elected at odds of $1.22 and holding 92% of punter support.
“2013 was bittersweet for Labor with Warren only narrowly winning and Gosling only narrowly defeated but the punters in the top end are pretty confident Saturday’s result will be more clear cut in favour of Labor,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
