Online bookmaker will again face a massive payout if The Cleaner wins Saturday’s Railway Stakes.

The cult hero from Tassie has been sensationally backed to break his Group 1 duck at Ascot. A $5000 wager and an avalanche of smaller bets has firmed The Cleaner into $4.80 favouritism.

“It’s no wonder they call The Cleaner the people’s horse, because every time he races we face hefty payouts and this time is no different. He is the best backed, holding five times more money than any other runner, but we’ll still be cheering for him,’’ said’s Christian Jantzen.

Locally trained Mr Moet ($14 – $12) is the next best backed and Respondent is second favourite at $6.50.

In the Winterbottom Stakes punters have come for Bel Sprinter ($12), but Angelic Light ($3.00) is firm favourite.
